SOLD,SOLD,SOLD Adolf Hitler rare casserole from the Reich Chancellery. The casserole is intact and has an absolutely beautiful patina. It is roll printed with the party eagle clutching an oak wreath with a swastika. The “R” and “K” flank the sides of the crown. The bottom is punched Wellner 140 cl. 42. Measures 29 cm “handle to handle and 6,5 cm tall. The silverware of the Reich Chancellery is much rarer than the Adolf Hitler pieces you come across. The Reich Chancellery was extremely significant. It was Hitler’s official residence, office and bunker; from here he planned the war and here it ended with his death. Anything from the Chancellery is extremely rare because the complex was badly damaged during the Battle of Berlin in April 1945. It was nearly destroyed. Only walls remained, riddled with countless splinters, yawning from large bullet holes. The ceilings have only partially survived.
