    Description: Original typed letter on “Reichskanzlei” letterhead dated Berlin W8, 11. April 1935. File ref: Rk. 2954. Addressed to: Herrn Architekt Gall, Atelier Troost, Munich – the office of Paul Troost, Hitler’s chief architect until 1934.

    Historical content: The letter, signed by Dr. Rudolf Ostertag Oberregierungsrat and office chief at Reich Chancellery, responsible for technical correspondence on Speer/Troost 1934-1938 Chancellery expansion, , requests missing architectural plans for the renovation of the north wing of the Reich Chancellery at Wilhelmstraße 77. It explicitly mentions:

    •  “the two floor plans of the ground and upper floors of the Führer’s apartment”

    •  “the northern side wing adjoining the Foreign Office… below the sleeping quarters of the escort and above those of the gentlemen adjutants”

    Letter closes with “Heil Hitler!” and Rudolf Ostertag original signature.
