    Description: Original typed letter on period paper from the Reichskanzlei, addressed to Herr Architekt Gall, Atelier Troost, Munich, Theresienstr. 148.

    Historical content: Administrative document regarding the updating of plans for the “Dienstgebäude Wilhelmstraße 77 und 78” – the buildings of the Reich Chancellery in Berlin.

    The Reich Chancellery requests from Paul Troost’s architectural office the missing drawing: “Zeichnung über den Umbau des Erdgeschosses des nördlichen… Seitenflügels” – the ground floor renovation plan of the northern side wing adjoining the Foreign Office.

    Letter closes with “Heil Hitler!” and original signature “Im Auftrag: Rudolf Ostertag”. The letter, signed by Dr. Rudolf Ostertag Oberregierungsrat and office chief at Reich Chancellery, responsible for technical correspondence on Speer/Troost 1934-1938 Chancellery expansion the official signatory for all government documents of the era.
