A fabulous and very rare art deco style Bruckmann & Sohne silver dinner spoon specially produced for the Deutsche Reichsbahn Sonderzugs.
The teaspoon bears the designation marks for Goring’s family car number “205”
The handle of the spoon has a tapering rim on the obverse and reverse, and a plate resting on the highest point of the reverse. The obverse features a finely detailed Deutsche Reichsbahn eagle with swastika garland straddling the letters D and R all embossed at the bottom of the handle. On the reverse is the Bruckmann & Sohne maker’s mark “RM800 Eagle and Crown” (indicating 800 silver content), and then the impressed number “205” indicating the wagon number.
