The souvenir replica with a marble inset, which is an original section of the marble taken from Hitler’s original fireplace. The reverse bears a formal statement of authenticity, outlining that the original fireplace was removed from the Berhof by officers of the US Army in June 1945. (size: 16cm x 14cm).
Condition report: Excellent, near mint condition, complete with marble inset, and with the reverse statement in perfect condition. Il four original felt pads in place.
Notes: A section of the original marble Hitler fireplace was sold to the American auto parts company, Weatherhead’, who made these replica fireplaces, each with an inset section of the original marble. These were then given as ‘special gifts’ to VIPs in 1946.
