A rare silver Bruckmann Cup and plate , produced especially for the Deutsche Reichsbahn Sonderzugs.
The cup and plate bears the designation marks for Hermann Göring’s Sonderzug “Asien”, and in particular the carriage number “243” which was Göring’s dining car.
The cup is accentuated by a graceful sliding handle. The upper front features a fantastic and finely detailed Deutsche Reichsbahn eagle with a garlanded swastika astride the letters D and R all in relief. At the bottom is the Bruckmann stamped “B” along with a locomotive symbol manufacturer’s mark, followed by “ALPAKA” indicating a heavy silver plate, and then the embossed number “243” indicating the number of the wagon.
