SOLD,SOLD,SOLD German Print Of Adolf Hitler’s Haus Wachenfeld. A souvenir as it was sold in Berchtesgaden and the Obersalzberg area to tourists visiting where Adolf Hitler had his mountain residence. Hitler purchased Haus Wachenfeld with profits from his book Mein Kampf and lived in it as he bought it until after he became Chancellor of Germany in 1933. He then vastly expanded Haus Wachenfeld and renamed it the Berghof because of its position high on a mountainside at Obersalzberg above the Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden.
The dimensions of this period print is 19 x 13 cm.
Security was surprisingly laxest in the early days and the Pilgrims were offered all kinds of souvenirs and postcards to take home.
