SOLD,SOLS,SOLD A lovely silver Bruckmann dinner knife, specially produced for the Deutsche Reichsbahn Sonderzugs.
The knife carries designation marks for Adolf Hitler Sonderzug, and in particular carriage number ‘244’ which was Hitler dining wagon.
The handle is accentuated with a raised edge to obverse and reverse. The obverse features a fantastic and finely detailed Deutsche Reichsbahn Eagle with wreathed Swastika straddled by the letters D and R all in relief to the bottom of the handle, and to the hilt is the ’90’ stamping for silver plate. To the reverse is found the impressed number ‘244’ indicating the wagon number, again at the hilt. The blade is stainless steel and carries the cartouche stamping ‘W’ for Gustav Wirth of Solingen-Graefrath over Nicht Rostend.
